DC Power Football Club Post-Match Quotes
Head Coach Omid Namazi
On the final result…
“I thought they were better than us to be honest with you,” Namazi said. “I thought our energy level and our sharpness was not as it’s been in the last three or four games. Jacksonville looked sharper.”
Goalkeeper Makenna Gottschalk
On thoughts following the final home match of the season…
“It’s disappointing” Gottschalk said. “I think in moments we were really good and we have the potential with the girls on our team and the staff we have leading us. It’s really disappointing to not come out with points for this one. I don’t know if we would have deserved it, I think we could have played a lot better than we did tonight. That’s how the game goes.”
Forward Loza Abera
On looking ahead to the match against Spokane Zephyr FC on Saturday…
“We just have to focus on the next game,” Abera said. “We have to keep pushing, keep working and have to finish the season stronger.”
