WASHINGTON, D.C. (Aug. 6, 2026) – DC Power Football Club have announced the signing of midfielder Abby Boyan ahead of the 2026 Gainbridge Super League Fall season, pending league and federation approval.
“Abby is a talented midfielder who brings a strong presence in the center of the field and has a proven ability to impact the game as a goal creator and scorer,” Steven Birnbaum, DC Power Football Club Sporting Director, said. “Her experience speaks to her consistency and versatility as a player. We are excited to add her to the team as we prepare for the start of the 2026 season.”
Boyan started her professional career signing with AaB in the top-division of Denmark in 2024, making 14 appearances (14 starts) and scoring two goals with one assist. The midfielder has also gained professional experience with Fylkir in Iceland’s second division and the NWSL’s Utah Royals. Most recently, she joined USL Super League expansion club Sporting JAX in February 2026 where she appeared in seven matches, scoring one goal over 311 minutes played.
The New Jersey native played collegiately at the University of Georgia from 2018-2022, making 93 appearances for the Bulldogs and tallying 35 goal contributions (17 goals and 18 assists). Boyan set a program record for most career starts and appearances (93) and earned First Team All-SEC in 2020 and 2022.
