WASHINGTON, D.C. (Sept. 21, 2026) – DC Power Football Club have another outing at home this Tuesday, September 22, taking on Fort Lauderdale United FC in their seventh match of the 2026 Gainbridge Super League Fall Season. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. ET at Audi Field. DC Power are currently fourth with eight points in the Super League standings, while Fort Lauderdale are seventh with three points.
This past weekend, DC Power FC earned a point in a 1-1 draw with Tampa Bay Sun at Audi Field. The game was contested throughout, breaking open in the second half with Tampa Bay opening the scoring in the 62nd minute. Forward Shea Connors drove a low shot into the bottom left corner after having been played in behind DC’s back line. DC Power’s substitutes quickly answered in the 70th minute, when Alyssa Walker brought a cross down to midfielder Emma Jaskaniec, who finished the play with a clever backheel into the net. DC fought hard in a physical match but were unable to find a go-ahead goal.
Fort Lauderdale are coming to DC on a three-match losing streak, most recently dropping points in a 2-1 loss to Dallas Trinity FC at home on September 18th. Dallas went ahead in the 32nd minute with a header by midfielder Felicia Knox and doubled their lead one minute into the second half with a low shot from forward Jasmine Hamid. In the second half, the home team was able to get one back when forward Sh’nia Gordon cut a left footed shot across the goal, sending the keeper the wrong way.
Tuesday’s match is the eighth meeting between DC Power and Fort Lauderdale United and the first of two this Fall Season. DC Power’s all-time regular season record against Fort Lauderdale is 3-2-2, with 11goals scored and eight conceded. The last meeting between both clubs was on April 22, 2026, where DC Power earned a resounding 4-0 win at Audi Field, DC’s most recent victory at home. Current leading goalscorer Loza Abera recorded a double, with the other two goals coming from forwards Alyssa Walker and Jaydah Bedoya. DC have not lost at home to Fort Lauderdale since September 2024 and will look to continue their positive form against the Florida team and secure their first home win of the 2026 Fall Season.
