Defender Claire Constant and Midfielder Abby Boyan earn recognition following standout performances in September
WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 13, 2026) – The Gainbridge Super League and DC Power Football Club have announced that Defender Claire Constant and Midfielder Abby Boyan have been selected to the Gainbridge Super League September Team of the Month. DC Power players have also been listed among the nominees for Goal of the Month and Save of the Month, highlighting Jaskaniec’s performance against Tampa Bay Sun FC and goalkeeper Katie Cappelletti’s performance against Dallas Trinity FC.
Constant has started all of DC Power’s matches this season, playing the full 90 minutes in all seven games. She recorded her first goal of the season in the draw against Sporting JAX on September 4th. Constant has 27 clearances and 15 interceptions so far in the season. Her outstanding performances for DC Power’s back line have also earned her another call-up to Haiti’s National Team roster.
Since joining DC Power this summer, Abby Boyan has quickly cemented herself as an integral part of the team’s midfield, earning the start in six of Power’s seven matches. She has recorded one assist and maintained 79.8% passing accuracy with 218 passes.
After making the Team of the Month in August, Emma Jaskaniec continued putting together strong performances for DC Power’s midfield. She scored her second of the season, rescuing a point back for her team in the draw against Tampa Bay with a stunning back-heel goal. Her performance earned her nominations for Player of the Week and now, Goal of the Month.
Katie Cappelletti has also continued her strong form as DC Power’s new goalkeeper. Now for the second month in a row, she has been nominated for Save of the Month, this time in a one-on-one against Dallas Trinity FC’s Kalea Eichenberger. She is currently second in the league in saves recorded (21).
DC Power FC plays its next match of the season at American Legion Memorial Stadium on Friday, October 16 against Carolina Ascent FC. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST with tickets available for purchase at dcpowerfootballclub.com/tickets.
